A Taqueria built on
one simple idea

LOS Tacos is a Mexican Taqueria inspired restaurant in theCOMMONS Thonglor, built on a simple idea: real Mexican cooking, wrapped in the warmth and joy of Thailand. "LOS" is a nod to Thailand's identity as the Land Of Smiles, and the name, the food and the staff are all meant to bring smiles to our guests.

The kitchen follows the Mexico City Taqueria tradition: handmade tortillas filled with meticulously prepared meats, topped with fresh, local ingredients, and finished with house salsas.

Head Chef
Kalid Alcalá

Kalid was raised in Xochimilco, Mexico City, and learned to cook at home and in culinary school in the Mexican tradition. He then spent years in fine dining, including Dani García, a 3 Michelin star kitchen in Spain, and Sud777, one of Latin America's 50 Best, in Mexico City. His food is honest, soulful and deeply rooted in the Mexican culinary canon, while adapted to local ingredients.

Founder
Dennis Kim

Dennis has been based in Thailand for over 10 years, but originally arrived from New York City, where he was a co-founder of Mission Chinese Food, the 2012 New York Times restaurant of the year and Bon Appétit's #2 Best New Restaurant in America in 2011. He has traveled to over 80 countries and 800 cities searching for the best meals he could find, and launched LOS Tacos simply because he loves and misses Mexican food from the Americas.

theCOMMONS Thonglor

theCOMMONS Thonglor dates to 2015 and is Bangkok's original community mall: a four-level, open-plan space of food vendors, shops, a play yard and a rooftop, where families, remote workers and friends share tables.

The industrial, open-plan setting suits an elevated Taqueria. We run an open kitchen and counter so you can watch your food being made.
